1. Educational background:

   • bachelors degree (any field)
   • associate degree (any field) plus a teaching certificate (ESL, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, NATALIE, etc.)
   • college diploma (2-year course or above) plus a teaching certificate (ESL, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, NATALIE, etc.)
2. Nationality: Only foreigners who possess passports from countries recognized by the R.O.C. government as "native-English speaking" will be granted work permits. Such countries are:

   • South Africa

3. Be able to commit for one year (12 months).

4. Be interested in teaching children and/or teenagers.

We have a standardized pay and benefits package for all our positions. Base pay is based on your educational background.

Our application procedure is divided into four stages:

Stage 1: Application Stage

We suggest that you begin by having a look at our List of Positions Available to have an idea on what kind of jobs we have. It will also help you decide when to come to Taiwan. Remember, you are not the only one who is interested in a particular position. So it is advisable that you remain open to other possibilities.

After you have decided on an approximate arrival date, please send in your application. Please note that you need to arrive in Taiwan at least one to two weeks before the school's start date. Of course, the earlier you book a flight and give us your confirmation, the earlier we can hold the position for you.

Teacher Handbook

Stage 2: Booking a Flight and Applying for your Visa

Now that we have accepted your application and you have reviewed the contract and Teacher Handbook, you will need to start booking a flight and applying for your visa to travel to Taiwan.

We will not apply for your work permit until you arrive in Taiwan and have settled in with your school. We also do not provide airfare in advance.

As the positions available are on a first come first served basis, we cannot hold a position for you unless you confirm your arrival.

Stage 3: Arrival

Upon arrival in Taiwan, we will pick you up at the airport and provide you with a temporary accommodation while we start the process of settling you in with your school
