At the arrival passport control counter, present the following:

• passport
• visa
• departing flight ticket
• Disembarkation/Embarkation and Customs Declaration Form

The immigration officer will stamp your date of entry on the visa page of your passport.  Make sure that the immigration officer stamps the entry date on the visa page as there are some cases where the visa officer fails to locate your visa and assumes that you entered Taiwan on a VISA-EXEMPT ENTRY status.  If such happens, you will only be allowed to stay in Taiwan for 30-days and no extensions will be granted.

The immigration officer will also staple the Embarkation Card to your passport.  Do not misplace the Embarkation Card.

After you get your affairs in order at the immigration counter, proceed to the Baggage and Customs Hall to retrieve your baggage.  If your baggage are not dutiable, proceed to the "Nothing to Declare" counters, indicated by the color green.  If you are brining dutiable goods, proceed to the "Goods to Declare" counters, indicated by the color red.

After you clear customs, proceed to the Arrival Passenger Hall.  Our driver will be there waiting for you.  He/She will be holding a board with your name on it.  Please do not wander outside the passenger hall as it would make it difficult for the driver to spot you.

Morning Arrival:

If your plane arrives in the morning, you will be driven to the our office where you will meet the IACC staff.  If you have not signed the contract, this is the time to do so.  We will also take you to the bank to open an account.  And if time permits, we will take you to the hospital to do a health check.

Afternoon Arrival:

If you arrive in the afternoon, you will be driven to our office where you will meet the IACC staff.  If you have not signed the contract, this is the time to do so. You will then be driven to the hotel. The health check and opening of your bank account will be done the next day.

Evening Arrival:

If you arrive in the evening, you will be driven directly to the hotel.  If you have not signed the contract, we will provide you with one.  Please sign it and give it back to the driver.  We will pick you up the next morning to go open a bank account and do a health check.

Your school interviews and demonstrations will begin right after. 

On some occasions, you will be taken directly to the accommodation provided by the school. This could be the school dormitory or an apartment near the school.  For this, the opening of your bank account and health check will be done the next day.
